This past week was pretty good.
I'm sad we don't get to take pictures anymore, so we're planning on going sometime and printing pictures off our cameras, although there are not many pictures on there either.
We mostly eat traditional food from
the country they're from. I've had food from: Nicaragua, Mexico,
chile, Argentina, El Salvador, Guatemala, etc. haha. It's all really
good my favorite thing, I don't know how to spell it, but it's
papusa...?
My companion and I are doing great. Learning lots together, because we both have similar weaknesses and strengths. We've been having a hard time keeping track of time but we're both getting a lot better. Transfers are next Monday, we calls Saturday. There's a 50/50 chance Hna. Westergard could stay or leave. And she says she thinks I'm training. Haha, we'll see I guess. Our investigators were mostly at a stand still for the longest time, but things are starting to move forward, ever so slightly. One Hermano we are teaching has lots of doubts about random things. Like he doesn't believe christ established a church while on the earth. We've been using the scriptures a lot to answer his concerns. But he started reading the BOM. And we have an investigator that we have not been able to meet with since I first got here, because ever time his dad cancels or whoever was going to go with us cancels (we can only visit if we have another woman with us). And the ward members here aren't very helpful with going on visits. So we'll probably pass him off to he elders :( but his son has been reading the BOM on his own. We had just dropped them one by their house since we couldn't have a lesson and we saw him on the street and he said he's been reading it and loves it. He was talking about how much peace it's been bringing him. He's definitely going to get baptized. He's the one j saw my first night here when we were a trio and it was a bomb lesson. He accepted a baptismal invite and date right from the start. He's 14 years old. We have like 3-4 investigators who are part of a part member family and none of them are really progressing because they're not keeping commitments.
The weather would probably be nice according to Idaho standards. It's been warm some days and colder other days. Right now it's really windy and stormy. I guess someone told us it was gonna rain tomorrow.
Here's a quote for everyone!
"The fourth tool is to go to the temple. We all know there is no more peaceful place on this earth than in the temples of God. If you don’t have a temple recommend, qualify to get one. When you have a recommend, use it often. Schedule a regular time to be in the temple. Don’t let anyone or anything prevent you from being there.
While you are in the temple, listen to the words of the ordinances, ponder them, pray about them, and seek to understand their meaning. The temple is one of the best places to come to understand the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Seek Him there. Remember that many more blessings come from providing your own family names in the temple." (Make the Exercise of Faith Your First Priority by Elder Scott)
I can't believe in less than a month I'll be 1/3 of the way through my mission!!! Miranda pointed out that my halfway point is on her birthday!!!
And thank you SO much for the card, I really loved it. :)
Lots of love, Hermana Hansen
