Effy stopped us before we walked into church and asked to take some
pictures of us because Hna. Westergards mom sent her a text saying she
wanted some pics of her little missionary. And then Effy sent her them
through fb. So that's probably the pics you got :)
Yeah, splits was fun! Especially with being able to see some different
areas. Her name is Hermana hernandez. Her family lives in Texas right
now. This week has dragged a little. We've both been a little sick to our stomachs, not sure if it's something we ate, but it's like off and on and seems to be pretty much gone! Our investigator Moisés wasn't able to make it to church because his job hours changed. He works some days from 7:30am-11pm at 2 different restaurants. Most people we've met have to work two jobs to pay rent on a small apartment. Like this one Armenian guy stopped us on the street and said he was renting out an apartment for a good deal and to tell the people in charge of our mission haha. But he said it was "only 1100 a month" for 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (no kitchen). I can just imagine how much it costs to rent s nicer apartment!! We've been working on finding more people to teach and meet with our investigators more. People just keep canceling appointments. It's a little frustrating sometimes but it's ok. We've been working on trying to contact more people as well. I don't really remember specifics of what happened this week and I forgot my journal so this might be kinda short too haha.
I actually like not having a dishwasher
and being able to wash by hand, but you've got more peoples' dishes to
wash, and I'm guessing not everyone wants to help with the dishes
haha.
Keep sending pictures, I love getting
pictures. I still need to send the rest of my photos off my iPad so I
can delete them all. Except I don't remember exactly which ones I've
already sent...so there may be some repeats...
Now I have to use my regular camera and we still need to find
somewhere or the time to print them off.
I love you lots and lots.
Love, Hermana Hansen
