having a party for an Hermana in our district who's leaving this
transfer! Btw, I've been here for practically a whole transfer!
This week started off a little crazy
We had to run cars around all day. It was crazy, but we ended up being
stranded at the mission home forever. And it was Hermana Nichols
birthday. It was also the birthday of one of the sister who works in
the office. So we had Costco birthday cake and cookies. And they gave
us trader joes kettle corn and candy!!! It was exhausting.
We met with some new converts, a mother and her two kids. We're
helping her to prepare to go through the temple. She super excited!
We've been doing lots of visits with the Hermana who's in charge of
YSA. It's been great and we have some followup visits this week!
This no longer chronological haha
I copied this straight out of my letter to the mission president haha.
Because I'm too lazy and I might as well. We had an awesome experience
yesterday. We had a couple hours set aside for finding. There were
some specific references we were hoping to contact during that time.
None of them ended up being at home. We were going to go by one more
references house in this trailer park. We have an elderly woman in our
ward who has lots of health problems. She loves working with the
missionaries and lives in this trailer park. As we were ready to leave
the trailer park, we saw her walk up either walker. She told us she'd
been looking for us, which was odd because we weren't even planning on
being in that trailer park that day. This Hermana is awesome at
talking to everyone and always gives us references. She brought us
around to all her friends and neighbors, introducing us. We actually
picked up a lot more potentials and investigstors! It was such a
blessing to have this Hermana put in our path to help us! We were able
to meet all our daily goals for that day! I know that when you put
your trust in God and go forward with promptings, even if they're not
in your schedule, you'll be blessed!
We have an awesome week planned for next week and were trying to work
more with the members and less actives. Were also hoping to pick up
some more new Investigators.
We also visited with a sister who's very less active. She also has a
son who's a member who's less active. He's 19 years old and goes to
college. She's from Brazil and speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English.
Her son speaks all those and Italian as well. She prayed for us in
Portuguese and it was so cool!!! We taught her about how the gospel
blesses families. We talked about the family: a proclamation to the
world and temples. We set s goal with her to prepare herself to go to
the temple! She said she's wanted to go to the temple and has had
opportunities to but doesn't feel worthy. So she said she wants to
work toward that. We're gonna have her make a list of things she
thinks she needs to do to prepare for the temple and we're gonna
compare it to the PMG baptism requirements, then have her work on one
each week! She already mentioned she knows she needs to go back to
church. She seems like an awesome Hermana!
The silva family all came to church for all 3 hours this week! They're
s part member less active family. The parents are less active and
their 3 kids (10-14) aren't members. But the one daughter who's 12
wants to be baptized but just isn't sure when. But they all have a
desire to learn more and they're coming to church now!
This next week we have a super packed schedule planned which is
awesome! We're also amping up our goals for this week :)
Love you all and miss you!!! ❤️💜💛💚💗
Love, Hermana Hansen
