Sorry I don't have a ton of time to write. This week has been a little harder. People cancelling and stuff and we might have to drop some of our investigators and work on finding some new ones!
Everything that could have gone wrong today went wrong...haha
Well all these past 2 weeks we've had problems. Hermana west got 3 flat tires and I got one. We were finally able to get some caps for our tires but them mine went flat. We we pumped it up and 3 seconds later it was completely flat again. So...were trying to figure out what to do about it. The elders might be patching it today for me :) I hope!
I love exchanges. Again, I know this exchange was inspired. I learned a lot and we contacted this guy who paid for air at the gas station and put it in my bike tire for me. We talked and he was getting all weird. I was about to give him our number then saw a bracelet that looked like a medical bracelet. I looked and it said Los Angeles county jail something about mental care. We both felt like at the same time that we shouldn't give him the number. Kinda weird...stuff like that happens all the time. And he made us pray holding his hands...he was seeming a little aggressive so, like they taught us, we didn't resist. Then right afterwards someone was asking us for money for gas. And today we came out of the grocery store and a homeless guy asked us "hey ladies, what do you have for me?" We have him our pan dulce (sweet bread). There's lots of homeless people here!
We do run sometimes in the mornings but it's easier for me to stop and walk if I need to. We don't eat a lot of food with the members. But if we ask for meals, they'll feed us. Hna. West just likes cooking and it's good to have a break at home.
We bike all day but use the car after 7.
